$500,000
North Carolina Creative Economy Campaign · campaign-wide fundraising target, not an award received or a single donor commitment

North Carolina has the creative talent, locations, businesses, and cultural infrastructure to remain a meaningful destination for entertainment production.

But the long-term value of the creative economy depends on more than attracting cameras. It depends on developing a skilled workforce, engaging local businesses, supporting independent creative production, and creating opportunities that continue after filming ends.

Culture Works NC is designed to strengthen the connection between entertainment activity and economic opportunity for North Carolina residents and businesses — with initial emphasis on the Raleigh-Durham production ecosystem and other NC communities as partners and programming develop.

A production is an economic ecosystem

One production touches an entire local economy.

Local vendors
Lodging & hospitality
Catering & food service
Transportation
Equipment & technical services

These are potential economic activity categories — they do not represent secured contracts or verified spending.
